I am seriously freaking out here--I just installed 2 mars GTX 760 (ea are dual gpus) so this would be quad sli, and i played my games with my pc hooked up to my 720p 50" tv with no issues at all--Then I bought 3 24" 1ms BENQ gaming monitors, and i just hooked them up last night in surround mode and my pc just shuts down as soon as i start up a game--the game either freezes up then the monitors go black and the pc is still running, or the whole thing just shuts down and i have to pull out the plug and let it reset then i can reboot--I can surf the web, do anything else no prob, but anything graphic intensive and it shuts down--nothing else has changed except i am running 3 1080p monitors in surround mode and before it was just 1 tv at 720p--all my games are set to ultra--The reason i am thinking psu, is i have all this running off my antec 850 true power psu, it is modular and has 4 rails i believe--i also have an fx830 overclocked to 4.6 ghz at 1.47v, xspc watercooling, 10 fans or so not counting graphics cards---anyone have any ideas? oh and i know it isnt ram---i tested it plus put in another good set--remember, this all started the 1st time i ran 3 1080p monitors in surround--please advise, im wigging

You'll probably right on the PSU being the problem. The power consumption of your system would be very high. I found a review for the Mars GTX 760 that also tested power consumption of the rig. It was 550 watts! And that is only with one card, add 300 watts for your second GPU and you're at 850 ...the rating of your PSU, something you don't want to match!! ...try for 80% or lower.

Time for a 1000 watt or higher PSU. Perhaps consider investing in a Sea Sonic.

The test system used an Intel CPU, LGA 2011. Similar TDP. So the tested watts should be close to your system(with one GPU); although the 8350 would be maxed out and bottlenecking your GPU's. But that's another subject...

Admirable
it is most likely your psu. when you was using your tv the mars didnt have to push at full load. but adding the triple monitor setup you are really testing them and they need to consume alot of power
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/MARS_GTX_760/22.html
this shows you that on maximum power draw they consume 402w per pcb
this is 804w in gpu alone!!!!
you need a beast of a power supply i would say since you have a overclocked 8350(stock tdp 125w) and the power draw of your mem and chipset tdp is probably around 72-84w you need around a 1200w psu to run this beat of a setup

this little baby is a tier 1 evga supernova g2 1300w and would match your color scheme quite well

here you can clearly see it is a tier 1 power supply

I did not format windows for the multiple displays, i just let the nvidia control panel handle all of the settings---windows does recognize the montiors, they show up, but i never inserted the driver cd that came with the monitors--I was thinking it could be a setting, but everything else works fine, just when i go to play a game and put my gpu's to work, it shuts down.

You can get PSU bridge and add a second PSU. You can find these online for less than $10. This way you can still use the PSU you have and get a second unit to power part of your system.

Dude, you aint lying!!! This sucker is putting out some heat!!!! I moved it into my bedroom and hooked it up to the 3 monitors, and left it running all night with the door closed and when I woke up, it was over 90 degrees in my room!!! I did swap out the 850w Antec for a 1200w Silverstone single 12v rail Gold Rated psu, and holy sh*t, can you say "Holy f'n power draw Batman??"

Okay, I figured out the problem and here ya go incase anyone else was planning on 2 ASUS MARS 760's in SLI and a 3 monitor set-up running NVIDIA Surround-- I purchased 2 ASUS MARS 760 gpu's a month ago, and set it up in quad sli, (quad sli because each gpu is a dual gpu) and ran 1 monitor fine for weeks--then I decided I would purchase 3 BENQ 24" 1080p monitors, and when I hooked everything up, couldnt play even 1 game... PC would crash every time---I called ASUS tech help around 10 times to no avail--they are useless there---Finally i removed one of the gpu's and walaa! It works wonderful!!! :) Apparently they do not have driver support for running 2 MARS GTX 760's quadfire in Nvidia surround. They might want to mention that on these websites that sell the MARS 760 because if you have or plan on running any 3 monitor set up with 2 MARS 760's, you cant--there isnt enough VRAM on the slave GPU in a Quad SLI Setup, and the way ASUS has nvidia surround set up now, you have to hook up 2 of the 3 monitors to the bottom (slave) gpu, and it does not have the gas to push 2 1080p monitors---If and when ASUS comes out with a driver that allows you to hook up 2 of the monitors to the main card and one to the slave, it should work fine, but until then, you will end up with a $650 brick. Happy Gaming!!!! ~~~Suferbus
