I am currently running a 4670k OC to 4.2, GTS 250, a gigabyte z87x-hd3 mobo, and am using
a corsair 430 watt PSU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168....

It runs this config fine, but if I upgrade to a gtx 660 or 770, would I need to upgrade my PSU?

And if I do, what would you suggest? (that's good for the money)

Thanks!

The 660 would be OK, but I wouldn't run a 770 on a 430w PSU. Technically it could, but I wouldn't be comfortable with the higher load on the PSU. I think you should invest in a 550-600w PSU if you are wanting to buy a 770.

So I won't have to worry about it at all if I buy the 660? I think I may end up going and buying it at bestbuy later today. 770 + a new PSU would is kinda expensive for me atm

For the 660 no. The 660 only requires a 450 watt PSU. The 660 has a TDP of 140w (roughly 11.7A). The 4670k has a stock TDP of 84w (roughly 7A). The CX430 has a +12 rail that can supply 336w (or 28A). You have plenty of room with your CPU overclocked on that +12 rail to supply the CPU and GPU.

Not the 770 though. You would probably overload the +12 rail.

Have you thought about a 760 and a new PSU? The 760 is a lot more powerful than the 660. I'd also suggest not buying any computer component from the Blue Devil. They have to jack the price up on all components to make money off them. You're better off finding a deal online and having it shipped to your house.

What is your budget?
