I am about to load w8 onto a fresh SSD in my new build PC. My board is an Asus Gryphon with UEFI. Reading guides on installing w8 gave me the impression that installing through UEFI was not worth it yet guides on Motherboards have suggested it is worth it.
Guidance appreciated.

efi bios are used for the newest os and hardware. in the bios leave the bios at factory default for speed. just make sure the sata ports set to achi and your ram set to xmp profile. on windows 8 install on some mb you may have to turn off secure boot in the boot tab of the asus bios. the new efi bios are made so you can use larger then 2 tb drives. also with efi and a ssd and fast boot you get the quick boot ups.
