Hello,
My computer is crashing on occasion, with an issue with the device driver. Sometimes it recovers, that is how I know it involves the device driver. Other times I get the blue screen and my computer restarts, or it just freezes with the picture being distorted.
I am not sure what information is needed to figure this issue out. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, with a NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS graphics card. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Solution
Well, device driver crashes are usually caused by an unstable graphics card. First step, make sure you have the most recent drivers. Secondly, try using MSI Afterburner to underclock your core and memory by 25mhz. That usually fixed stability issues caused by unstable clocks.

Thank you for your response. I did what you suggested, and it worked okay until I played Civ V. It crashed again after playing for about 30 mins or so.
I have purchased a new card (GeForce GT 630) that should be arriving next week. So I will hold off on playing that game until then.
