I just buyed this mobo

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-dp43bf.html

And im using this memory

http://www.easypc.com.ph/index.php/site/prod_info/f.67d96d458abdef21792e6d8e590244e7

The problem is when i boot it up it gives me three beeps which means memory failure, and i already tried putting it in all the slots, the memory is within the range of the mobo so i dont know what might happen ):

Im using a 500w psu and a q8400 quad core processor if that means something

Did you use a static earthing band when building or even touching your computer? presuming it's custom built. If not then a small static charge may have gone through the RAM and rendered it useless. When you say tried putting it all in have you tested one ram in each slot, do this with all your ram, it will determine if it's dead RAM or RAM slot.

Start w/ one stick and see if it boots into BIOS, check that the FSB is at 1333 (required to run he DRAM at 1333), next find DRAM voltage and raise it + 0.10 from current setting, next find NB voltage and raise it 0.080 then save exit, shutdown, add a second stick and try it

Yes i tried in every slot, one memory at a time and it didn't even boot the BIOS i really think that the memory is the problem

About the static interference, i live in venezuela and because our sea level altitude we dont suffer much with static electricity, i never had an issue with static electricity but nevertheless, i will find another memory to try out, any other suggestion? I apreciate all the help that i can find...

All right, i made some research and some frustration after, i found out that the mobo, in spite of the fact that the box says 1333Mhz support it actually is supported only over-clocked, that means from 1066Mhz to 1333Mhz, and that seems to be the problem... What do you guys think?

Shouldn't be a problem, the CPU is 1333 (native) assumed you were running it as such - what's your FSB set at, may be 1066, which would also mean your CPU is underperforming...Check what the FSB is at? If it is at 1333 then may need voltage adjustments to the NB and the DRAM itself

I'm sorry but how am i able to change the FSB frequency without entering to the BIOS, because that is one of the initial problems, since this page

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/dp43bf/sb/CS-031268.htm

Says that the frequency for the memory compatibility is 1333Mhz only when OC

I'm sorry but could you please elaborate on how can i set the voltage of tue NB and the DRAM please?

Thank you very much for your replies
