I'm looking for a SSD drive that provides the best reliability < $75 for a system drive for my home media/file server.

I noticed Crucial M500 has a power loss protection feature. What does this mean related to my home server?

The other option I'm considering is SanDisk Ultra Plus for their higher MTBF, but the storage capacity is half. Since the drive is for Linux system drive, the 64 GB capacity should be fine...but more storage is nice, and gives me the option to run Windows if Linux doesn't work out.

I'm open to options...

Thanks. Jake
