My HP Pavilion desktop is going into sleep mode immediately upon booting up. When I unplug VGA cable, monitor says it can't detect VGA.
PC beeps seem normal. Monitor works with a laptop. So must be graphics card?

I don't want to spend a lot on this basic office PC. What should I get to fix video?

- is there a chip to replace the Radeon HD7660D that's compatible with the A75 chipset?

or

- should I get a separate PCIe x16 Radeon 7750?

I don't want to have to replace the PSU.

My specs:
AMD Trinity QuadCore A10 5700 APU
Jasmine AMD A75FCH Mobo
TDP 65w
3.4GHz
Radeon graphics HD7660D (65W)
300W PSU

it could be a number of thigns, and not just the gpu. try plugging the monitor into the motherboard instead of the gpu. if it still does not work, then there is something else wrong with your system
