Should I upgrade my monitor?

I have a pretty decent PC with a AMD Radeon HD 7870 and AMD FX-6300. I feel like my screen is a little small and kind of a low resolution. Right now I have a Acer 20 inch, 1600x900, but I was looking at another Acer monitor that's on sale and is 23 inches and is 1920x1080. Is it worth the upgrade and how much of a difference will I see?

Your picture will generally look noticably sharper. It'll make games look a fair amount sharper. 1600x900 is a decent resolution but 1920x1080 is a noticable step up. why not go for IPS monitor though? :)

1920x1080 is entry HD level, the quality will be a lot more sharper.

The screen size will be the difference. The higher resolution won't make a huge difference because a lower res on a smaller screen still has smaller pixels so should seem pretty smooth. Just remember going to a higher res display is going to make your graphics card work harder so you may need to turn down a setting or two depending on the game. Just food for thought.

Its really up to you and whether you think a larger screen is worth it.

Yeah that's sounds pretty good, how much of a performance hit do you think I will get?

Yeah I just looked them up looks like they have better viewing angles and better picture quality. Do you know of one that's under 150$ and is Full HD?

IPS monitors are the best type of monitors. Check out LG or Philips monitors, they have 23 LED IPS for about 150$ :)
