New Computer, new RAM - Can I throw in my old RAM sticks?

Last Saturday I built a new computer. Here are the specs:

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus VI Hero 1150
CPU: Intel i7 Haswell 4770k
Cooler: Corsair H100i
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16Gb 1600MHz 240-Pin DDR3 (8Gbx2)
GPU: MSI TF GTX 770 OC
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Windowed
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650W Gold

My question is, can I throw in my old G.SKILL Ripjaws series from my old computer into this new one? Will there be any performance increases, even at the least?

Here is the EXACT model and specifications of the RAM from my old computer.

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series
Model: F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
Type: 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
Capacity: 4GB (2 x 2GB)
Speed: DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
CAS Latency: 9
Timing: 9-9-9-24-2N
Voltage: 1.5V
ECC: No
Buffered/Registered: Unbuffered

It appears that both types of RAM (Crucial and G.SKILL) are running @ the same CAS Latency & voltages. The only way they differ are in their capacities, which shouldn't matter, because they'll both be running in their own dual channel, correct? Do any problems arise? I already know that a move from 16Gb to 20Gb of RAM will probably do almost nothing as far as gaming is concerned, but I don't really want the G.SKILL just laying around. (Might as well put it to use, if there are no issues)

What do you guys think? Please help! Thank you!

I belived 16gb new RAM are enough for most apps.
Adding the old RAM is ok if they are the same tyoe.
But why risk of causing system instablitlity by adding the extra few GB RAM on the new system while the new RAM is enough for the applications, right?

I would suggest not to mix diffreent brand different ages RAM together.

Hope this helps.
