Is there such a thing as updating bios on graphics cards ? If so UEFI says cant do multiple cards on board - So do i have to put each one on board update and remove it and replace with other card then re crossfire ? I have 2-ASUS HD7870-DC2-2GD5-V2 on a asus gryphon Z87

First answer yes there is.

Second a question, if there is nothing wrong with both cards why do you wish to update the bios firmware of both. ?

Never try to flash a graphics card with a bios from a different brand maker, unless the bios upgrade is made by the brand maker, and the model number of card you have. matches.

Not all boards follow the reference, design for the cooler and, the board layout Ati designed.
Some after market brands use different.
And also in respect to the Gddr 5 memory chips used on the board.

A bios update controls all the timings in some cases of the Clock speeds of the cpu ect including the on board memory of the card. But some makers use a brand of GDDR 5 that was not used on the reference Ati designed card.

That will cause problems.
As the memory timings may go to pot on the card with a bios update, if not of the same brand name or model number. Stated.

Or you risk bricking them both.
