Good Crossfire/SLI Graphics card

RAM: 16GB DDR3
I'm looking for a good card for an SLI or Crossfire
780, 780TI, R9 290, R9 290X
Witch would be the best of these?
should I get the X or TI? or are the smaller ones more than enough for an SLI/Crossfire system?

I'm thinking of running a triple 1080 setup. I want to be able to play almost anything on max for a while on at least a single 1080p display. but I dont know if its necessary to buy the TI or X for an extra $200

3gbs would suffice; however 4gbs would be better IMO in the long run. Which leaves you with either Titan black, 290 or 290x. You could use 2 x 770 4gbs cards but more gpu power is preferable. Don't know what Maxwell will bring to the table though.

The Titan Black is way over my budget. so that leaves the R9 290 or 290X. should I pay more money for the X? From what I heard the X doesnt give much of an improvement for the extra $$$$
