Hi everybody,

Yesterday I finished my build with the following components: ASUS Maximus VI Formula, i7 4770K, G.Skill Sniper 16GB RAM, ASUS GTX 780 DCU ii OC, 240GB SSD and 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD. Now here is the history of my OS installation first BIOS setup in that stage I found that I have SSD on E1, Optical device on E1 and the HDD on E2 so the HDD was detected during the BIOS setup, then I started windows 8.1 Pro setup and it came to the stage to choose on which devise I want to install the system so also in here the HDD was detected after I finished the widows installation I couldn’t find the HDD when I go to my computer it only shows 2 devices the SSD and the DVD ROM however when I open the device manager/Disk drives it shows that I have 2 drives SSD and HDD……. Any clue.

Sorry for the way of explaining and for my poor English.

Cheers,

Nady

I suspect that your HDD has no partitions on it. Open the disk management console and create a partition on the 2TB drive. After that, you should be good to go.

To open disk management, search the start page for "Computer Management", then in the window that opens, go to Storage > Disk Management
