I have a weaker full AMD setup, and am thinking of upgrading the mono cpu and gpu, my idea is a 4670k CPU, Asus z87 extreme4 mobo, and either an AMD r9 290 non x, or gtx 780. I have a micro center near me so the CPU mobo combo will cost $295 which is real good compared to newegg. I'm just wondering will this be good for a minimum of 60 fps on most games at 1080p? May upgrade to 144hz or 1440p monitor, am still undecided. As for the gpu will probably go AMD if price comes down from cryptocurrency inflation.

fx6300 and a 7870. it does ok but i want minimum 60fps ultra on battlefield, titanfall, etc. i got 8gb of ram and a cx600m psu along with an ssd and 2 7200 rpm hdds. that part of the system is ok but the main components are kinda lacking if you ask me.

Id try the new Radeon card in the old mb and with the old cpu . You may get very similar FPS to what you would if you bought the new cpu/mb
