Hello. I recently bought an Asus maximus vi gene mobo and an Intel i5-4670k CPU. I asambled the system using my other old components (cpu cooler: standard intel cooler, integrated gpu, dram: 4x2gb kingston kvr1333d3n9/2g, psu: corsair ax760, ssd: ocz vertex 3 90gb, hdd: samsung spinpoint f3).
The system booted for the 1st time and entered windows, i installed a fresh copy of windows 8.1 and went to the asus website to dl the latest drivers, where i read that the mobo needed bios update if used with a 4th gen intel CPU. I dled the bios updater software and the latest version of bios (1301) from the asus website and updated the bios using the windows utility. The bios update completed successfully and the pc restarted and never POSTed again. The hdmi cable is connected to the mobo port and to the display, as i have no dedicated GPU yet, but there is no video signal.
When i power on the pc, the boot_devices_led remains ON and the q-code display shows error A0, A1, A2, or A3. The keyboard works, meaning that capslock and numlock buttons turn the coresponding leds on and off and ctrl+alt+del wold restart the pc.
Any help would be greatly apreciated.
Sry for the bad english and typeing, im using my phone to post.

I flashed the bios again with an usb stick with the second latest version (1203) and the boot_devices_led is now off and the q code error is A3.
Should i try all the other bios versions till i find one that works?
Should i try booting with a dedicated GPU?
I did try to boot with just one memory stick in any of the dram slots or without any sata drive with no changes.

I dont know what the original bios version was. Can i find out using the mobo revision?
I will try different bios versions and repost.
And i dont know what "breadboarding" means.

After a few power on/offs boot devices led is off again with q code error A3...
Do i need to enable the integrated gpu or the mobo's hdmi myself, or they should just work?
Why is the keyboard working? I can reset my pc with ctrl+alt+del...
And what does A3 error (IDE Enable) mean?

No usb devices but for keyboard and mouse.

I just figured my dram kvr1333d3n9/2g x 4 are not on the mobo's "qualified vendors list", but vram led and q code errors did not indicate any problem.

I updated the bios again, with a new version that was released on 14.03.2014 (2 days ago) and it works just fine, with a dGPU and with the iGPU aswell...
Im happy that it works, but a BIOS problem this big, from such a premium brand and product is quite disappointing.
Thank you for youre help.
