Depends on what your motherboard supports. Some motherboards support quad channel memory, most support dual channel, and some older ones support triple channel. I'd expect your board supports dual channel, so yes, 8gb x 2 is the best option.
  2. my board is "MSI Z87-G45 Gaming" one,,, so, which one ?

your motherboard runs at dual channel. so 2 x8gb is a better choice.
  4. 2*8 GB. Basically with all z87 LGA 1150, dual channel support is there.
  5. I was wondering if you would be able to clarify something for me...looking to build also with similar MB.

With the max of 32GB RAM, and having 4 slots, I would need to install a pair of DIMMs in each slot set. Is that why they call it dual channel?

What I don't know is what is the difference if I put 2*8 or 4*4? I would think that having more DIMMs doing the same work would be faster than just 2. Just looking to understand so I don't make the wrong choice on buying my RAM.

    Thanks.
