Ok guys first post and i have alot of questions about my first ever build. I want the build to be able to run just about anything on high graphics keep in mind, as i play games and am always doing something on the computer. First off I can tell you guys im leaning towards intel because its good for gaming?? I was thinking about shaping my build around the intel i5-4670K tell me not to if you think its a bad choice. I was thinking to pair it with the msi gtx 760. My budget is around 1000 dollars mabe a bit more. What do you guys suggest to get the best pc possible for around that price. Thanks in advance

For $1000, the 4670k is a great choice and so is the 760 GTX.

Now everything can be changed. A few things that to be added are: case; OS and disc drive (if needed). If you want a 4670k, than usually people overclock. If you don't want to overclock, you can save money by switching to a 4570 and a H87 motherboard. The 770 will play pretty much any game on Ultra easily. Depending on where you put your foot down on the budget, you should think about possibly getting a SSD.

Here is a non overclocking option, with i7 performance, that still has the ability to do SLI. I changed the 770 to a 4gb because some games eat lots of video ram. Heavily modded Skyrim, for instance, is like that.

No need in 4GB VRAM unless he's going to use multi monitor setup! or on resolution more than 1080p!

Not true at all. People have seen over 3gb usage in heavily modded Skyrim. Hitman resolution can easily eat up 2gb worth of memory. 3gb is kind of a sweet spot right now for high end cards. It just so happens you can only get a GTX 770 in 2gb or 4gb. If there were a 3gb, I would have recommended one.

On 1080p highest number is 2018MB and 2GB=2048MB!

Most people have other things going on other than just a game. That 30mb extra could easily be used up by anything else on the system using video. I guess that means you only use 4gb of ram to game with too right? That is all that is truly necessary. Most games only use like 2 cores. I guess all we need are Pentium G's. There are no need for i3's, i5's or i7's either.

Also from that article.

In Hitman: Absolution, a 1 GB card is not sufficient for playing at the game’s Ultra Quality level at 1080p. A 2 GB card does allow you to set 4xAA at 1080p, or to play without MSAA at 2160p.

To enable 8xMSAA at 1080p you need a 3 GB card, and nothing short of a 6 GB Titan supports 8xMSAA at 2160p.

Looks like whole system usage to me.

These tests were run on a Windows 7 x64 setup with Aero disabled. If you’re using Aero (or Windows 8/8.1, which doesn't have Aero), you should add ~300 MB to each and every individual measure you see listed below.

There have been plenty on here that have modded Skyrim and eaten up 3gb+ Vram. I'm sorry, but if I am going to spend that kind of money on a system, the last thing I want to happen is run across a game that won't run properly because I cheaped out on a graphics card with insufficient memory even though the GPU itself is actually capable. Spend a little now, so you don't have to later.

And other question is he going to play highly modded skytim?
And i really don't understand how aero works on system background while video card renders only frames that shown on the screen?
IMHO 4GB version of GTX-770 is not worth the money!

That is the problem with the state of GPU's right now. You have to go unreasonably higher in price to get more performance. The next best is a GTX 780 and it costs like $130+ more than the 770. The only AMD card that can reasonably compete is the r8 280x and they are selling for way more now too thanks to low supply, due to the crypto currency miners. Cheapest GTX 780 is $130 more than a 4gb GTX 770. I was staying in budget also. If the OP wants to spend more for the 780, by all means, I say do so.

Good build but as "logainofhades" said you don't cheap on PSU! Corsair makes good PSU's but CX line is crappy and really overpriced! look at Seasonic or XFX PSU's

Seasonic is #1 PSU manufacturer and it's ATX standard PSU and should fit in any ATX standard case!
