Ive looked up the manual for this motherboard and various tutorials and it seems that the 3 pin CPU fan connector is compatible with the 4 pin fan (CPU)header yet the fan does not work when i turn the system on i suspect i should it on the right side of the header, right?

Try with different fan header!

you mean the system fan header for the cpu fan? doesnt really bode well does it? theres only 2 fan headers the system and the cpu on the mobo

Is your CPU fan is 4pin, if yes your mobo has two 4pin fan headers (1left corner near LAN port and second near CMOS battery so you can plug your 3pin or 4pin fan to these headers!

are you sure it does as ive searched endlessly for a pin fan header and not to mention the the cou fan adapter is 3 pin ie the one that came with the water cooler.

Any suggestions to clean the water block? And the picture I added has a 3 pin adapter and I want to connect two fans on on the front of the radiator and the back the adapter is not alllowing me to do this as the cpu fan will not work when turned on.

Your fans don't spin or the whole system doesn't turn on?

The whole system doesn't turn on I suspect I need to clear out the CMOS values am I right?

Check your cables for proper connection! Probably you plugged case cables (reset, switch etc.) in wrong position!

Believe me everything is in the correct slot and header. Nothing at all happens when I turn on.

And out of interest I want to connect the speaker connector to the right header or troubleshooting purposes which header do I use above the cpu fan header I presume?

You meant system speaker speaker? I cant find header for system speaker in your mobo.
Also follow this guide http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1893016/post-system-...
Otherwise you have DOA motherboard or PSU

Case speaker you should connect to 4pin speaker header, there should be mark "speaker" or "sys-speaker"
