Problem with installing R9 270X

Hey, I just purchased a Gigabyte R9 270X and tried installing it into my computer. When I power it on, there is no BIOS beeping sound nor anything showing besides the fans and lights switching on on my computer. I fixed back my previous GPU which is a HD 6870 and I'm able to power on the system just fine. My power supply is coolermaster GX-650W and should be able to handle the requirements of the 270X. Any one has any idea whats going on? Do help!

Hey Joe,

It's most likely your Motherboard needing an update because it can't recognize/detect the R9 270x. Had the same issues with my brand new MSI Z87 and R9 270. Give it a shot.

Your solution worked perfectly! I updated my MSI bios to the latest and it was able to boot up perfectly. Thanks a lot!
