i have recently bought a 2nd hand am2 m/b ,the pc front switch has to be pressed several times, sometimes for couple of minutes to get the pc to boot up.

I have tested the power supply with a tester and all shows up as fine, also i have bought a spare case switch from ebay and that doesnt work at all.

Definetly all the cables are plugged into the correct places on m/b. and the case is recently new corsair one.

once the pc powers up works perfectly and the same switch on pc turns the pc off in seconds if touched,so the switch must be okay.

any ideas ???

yeah was abit daft buying a 2nd hand motherboard, but the cpu i have amd athlon 64x2 is speedy enough for most things unless playing games and if i got the latest m/b would have to replace cpu and also my ram which is ddr2,i thought id got a little bargain but obviously not.Shame coz once its one im more than happy with it.
