Dear Tom's Hardware,
I home-built a pc some time ago, and now its not working. To start from the beginning, which I now have some suspicion may be related, Ever since I built it whenever it went into sleep mode, when I went to wake it up, the monitor would not receive nor the mouse or keyboard. The only solution I could find was to restart, at which point it would start as if from sleep. Some time ago, this problem was occurring, and I went to restart it, turning off. however, when i went to turn it on, nothing happened. As in no power nothing. I would turn off the power supply, and when I turned it on, the onboard power button on my motherboard would blink for less than a second, then nothing. At first I thought it was a short, because if I waited the two minutes prescribed by the psu manual after turning it off, when I turned it on agin I would get the same blink. However, when I went through unplugging everything one a time, nothing caused the psu to start. I then decided it must be a bad power supply, and replaced that, yet had the same issue. Figuring another bad power supply, I swapped it for a different one just recently, and am still having the same problem. I'm utterly clueless and stripped of ideas. Any advice would be appreciated, or a meeting if you deem it necessary.
Many Thanks,
James T.
