Hey there!
Gonna be quick here but basically, I wanted to un-Install and then re-install my D-link DWL-G510 Wireless adapter drivers, so, I went to device manager and deleted the profile drivers thing under network drivers called "D-link DWL-G510". Then I shut down my pc ect. reinstalled the wifi card to the mobo, turned on my PC and when I try and re-install the drivers from the disc instead of actually installing them it trys to do maintenance as if there are drivers installed that its trying to fix.

After it says it has finished maintenance I check the network center, adapter settings and device manager and it says the D-link drivers are not there nor is the actual card, as well as the Network Manager tool that comes with the drivers to control the card in not there either.

I've already done many windows updates and it has not fixed it and I'm not sure what to do.

Just to say, my MOBO is a asus M5 a9.7 r2.0, and I know the card is compatible as i've used it the a last few month, and i'm also running windows 7 prof :3

Thanks for any advice!

Have a look for any D-Link items in the software uninstall list, and uninstall if you find any.
Control Panel > Programs & Features

Restart Windows after doing that, that try re-installing driver package. (actually, if the driver files are still on the system, Windows should re-install them automatically when it detects the card)
