Hi to everyone of the community,

I finishing a new build and I would like some help with the Cooler Master case fans, because I'm new in building a computer by my own hands. I saw in the MOBO user's guide that the board got 1 CPU FAN, 1 CPU OPT and 3 CHA FAN. Here's the problem: The case got 4 fans and I didn't saw much information about this CPU OPT. I would like to know if I can install an case fan in this CPU OPT to use the four fans that the HAF provide, once it seems this input it's for an extra or optional fan for the CPU. Excuse my ignorance if this is a very simple question. Thanks to everyone.

You can and it will work. Problem is that is the header will probably speed up that partcular casefan linear to the temperature of the CPU, as this is what all CPU fans do.

It was what I suspected. Any suggestion of which fan will be better to use on the CPU OPT? I'm using a Zalman 2 Ball Cooler (CNPS9500A-LED). Guess the best will be the back fan of the case, which is in line with the flow of the CPU cooler. Thanks for the attention.

I was thinking the same thing. No problem. Pick best answer if you feel like it. :)
