I purchased the edifier s730 last year which have been decent until quite recently. However I have noticed that one of the satellites is far less quiet compared to the other and also makes a popping like noise when the volume is quite high. I have switched wires and the problem is still there.

Will someone please tell me what the problem is and also tell me if it is fixable? (I have wanted an excuse to purchase some new speakers anyway lol)

Hi, if you switched the wire, and still have the problem with the same speaker, then the speaker is the problem. If the problem is on the same side, right or left, then the problem is coming from the amplifier. Did you try different source of signals, digital coaxial or optical, or a TV.

Thanks for the quick response, the problem must be the the speaker then. I've connected them to my TV and the problem is still there. Do you think I can get them fixed or is it not worth it?

If it's always the same satellite speaker who is the problem, what I think, it will be cheaper to get it repaired than buying another one. But try to get an estimate before doing something. If you still have the warranty, use it.
