I am looking for a computer case to house a 380W PSU with dimensions of 4.8" x 3.8" x 2.5". Are there any computer cases that will support a PSU of this size or am I dreaming? If there are any which computer cases would you recommend? Any links to cases would be greatly appreciated. I thank yoiu in advance for your help and advice.

Those are almost SFX power supply dimensions.

4.9 X 3.9 X 2.5

So I would guess you have an SFX power supply on your hands.

Many SFF cases like the SG05/FT03 mini/Fractal Design Node/ect take that size of power supply, but you also need the mitx board to fit.

Does it look like the SFX shown here?(some times they only have 3 screw holes and not 5 since 5 is just to allow flipping the power supply.)

You can also get a metal plate or make a plate to mount SFX power supplies in normal cases, but the cables tend to be much shorter.

Yes. It does look identical to the SFX. Perfect timing as I had just been looking at mITX boards and cases. My has 4 holes. I'll be the laughing stock of the neighborhood with this statement; Diaboltek PHD380M. They list it as mATX. Thank you so much for the link and info.

SFX units are often miss labeled as matx because they have been used in many matx systems.

Do not get this wrong an SFX power supply will run any ATX/ITX variant of board. The connectors are the same.

Now newegg has an image of that power supplies label and it lists 22A @ 12 volts so you have 264 watts @ 12 volts to work with(same as a silverstone/fsp 300 watt).

Being that company is not known for high quality(i can not speak for all products, but they have had some issues in the past for sure.), it may be a safe bet to treat it as a 250 watt power supply with about 200 on the 12 volt rail. Better to be safe.

Since the quality is unreliable, would using that PSU handle the following components:
1) SilverStone mITX case w/ 120mm fan (x1)
2) MSI N210-MD1GD3H/LP (GeForce 210) 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 Low Profile or MSI N8400GS-MD1GD3H/LP (GeForce 8400 GS)
3) WD 1TB 7200 RPM SATA
4) Intel i3-2120T LGA 1155 2.6 GHz
5) LITE-ON SATA DVD-ROM
6) Logitech MK120 USB Keyboard/Mouse
7) Patriot Viper 3 Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) 240-Pin DDR3
8) ASRock H61MV-ITX Board

According to extreme.outervision.com I will need >200W. And at support.asus.coom/powersupply.aspx states a minimum of 200W. I know the video cards require a minimum of 300W PSU. Or using the 380W an overkill?

Yes it will(if it does not, that power supply cut WAY too many corners) work

A Geforce 210 will have trouble pulling 15-20 watts
The hard drive should be about 10 tops for most 7200 rpm drives.
The cpu is a 35 watt part
DVD drives, not sure maybe 10 watts?
Mouse and keyboard can not be over 2.5 watts each as per the usb spec and take much less(my mouse reports .5 watts to the usb ports)
Memory and board together will have to work hard to use much over 20-30 watts.

To give an idea, I get about 150 watts(gaming with a peak under 180) at the wall with a i5 750(lowered the voltage) + gtx 650 and 1 WDC RED 3 TB drive and 2 2.5 inch drives. A very modest system all picked for low power parts(it is Media Center in my system specs if you are interested).

Deep ATX power supplies do NOT fit in all cases and this topic is all about SFX.
