Should I change R7950 to GTX 760 for CUDA and Shadowplay?

Hello,

recently I started to put montages and gameplays on YouTube, but I'm not really happy with my video quality. Now I have Sapphire 7950 Dual-X. I have a few questions:

1. How much video quality improves, if I'd render using CUDA instead of OpenCL (in Sony Vegas)? By much or just a little?
2. How's Shadowplay recording quality. What I like about it, that recordings take so little space, no performance hit and 60 FPS. Now I record with Action! at 30 FPS and I'd be OK with it, but for momtages that's a not really enough.
3. By how much GTX 760 is weaker than R7950 (OC'ed to 1000/ 1350)?

Thank you for the help!

Not really a good upgrade

You're going to lower your performance by a bit. If you want, look at the 770 or 780. Shadowplay is actually really good, better then fraps, and it's a constant 60fps. It doesn't use the CPU, and doesn't steal any fps for other recording software. A 20 min recording = 1-2gb only. Some recent updates, you can live stream on twitch with shadowplay.

If you're looking into video editting, both will work, but if you want speed, wrong cards for that lol. Firepro or quadro.

Rendering is better due to Cuda compatability, but helps very little in Sony Vega. For recording, the frames usually is being bottleneck by hard drive. For recording you probably want to record on a separate HDD/SSD with high write speed. As for preformance, 7950 Oc is only slightly better than 760. I would not switch one for the other.

It depends on your budget really. If you can op for a 770, you'll increase your performance in games. Even better, a 780 or ti will destroy anything. I say the 7950 is a good card, but if you want nvidias cool features, prolly something better then a 760, as you don't want to decrease or add minimal performance rise.
