i recently got a new mother board i had a gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 and now a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 when boot my computer now it shows the motherboards boot menu then it goes to a black screen that says loading operating system … and it has a blinking dash underneath it it never gets past this

If you are trying to use the OS installation from the previous MB, that is why. The OS set itself up for what it found on the old MB. Now with the new MB, it is confused. You may be able to try booting to safe mode w/networking and install the new MB drivers. It may or may not work. If not, you will have to re-install the OS.
