My laptop has a 3GB RAM memory by default. I checked my model no and found out that my memory can be extended to 8GB, so I bought two 4GB modules. now after adding new Rams, the computer wont turn on. nothing turns on, nothing is running. silent as anything. I read somewhere that you need to Clear CMOS, but i had a very bad experience of CMOS clearance so is there any other option for my computer to turn on and recognise the RAM installed.
My computer turns on if I install the old RAM modules, its only when I install a new RAM the computer is totally blank.
On the BIOS menu, the Memory field is greyed out so I cannot select.
Please Help me out of this misery. Thank you.
