Guys..im thinking of buying 2tb internal HDD as a primary storage device for my pc as my old 160 GB HDD is not working anymore..I also have an external 1tb HDD (working)
I just wanted to know if my PC would work properly having these both HDD running at same time
My PCs configuration is
Motherboard PI945GCM
Processor is Intel Dual Core Pentium
Thanks..

Yep! No problem.

One recommendation though. You might want to partition that 2TB drive to an OS partition (say ~250GB) and a data partition (~1.75TB). That way, if you ever need to wipe your OS and re-install, your data is still safe.

The mobo manual says your mobo has 4 SATA ports that support data communication rates up to 3 Gb/s. That's what was called then SATA II, and it surely supports HDD's up to 2 TB.

You should also check exactly what version of Windows you are using. IF it is the original Windows XP with NO Service Packs added, that OS did NOT support HDD's over 137 GB. However, if you have XP with any Service Packs installed, or any Windows after XP, this is NOT an issue. All these latter versions support HDD's to 2 TB. Going higher than 2 TB is a bit trickier, but that is not your plan.
