I have come down to the choice of two motherboards, each are compatible with all of my computer parts and I have come to the community to ask, which will preform better. There is a bit of a price difference, which is not a problem though if it is minimal differences in performance(when I say minimal I mean I won't notice it at all, if there is a noticeable difference do not say it is minimal) So here are the two motherboards. ASUS Z87-DELUXE/QUAD LGA 1150 or MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150

-PS- Going to be using Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz as the processor(reason I need new motherboard) and if you have any other motherboard suggestions that are much better than these that I did not find, feel free to share.

Thanks,
Ben

How much of a price difference? I'd grab the asus if its say 10 bucks more. Anything over that and its really not worth it. Hell I'd even go as far as just pick which ever one you think is pretty.

IIRC the asus has better vrms. But the MSi isn't lacking in any way really. You generally won't get performance improvements from similar boards. Such as this one.

Is there a particular reason you're wanting spend $280 for a motherboard? I mean if you are going to use all of the features go for it. But if you're just going to game, you could save a lot of money and put it to something else like a better GPU or a SSD.

If you happen to just have large budget or abundant money, just ignore my post.

Thank you for the replies, I am just trying to get a good motherboard that will last me a long while and be good quality, I do not like either more and just wanted the opinions of others, my budget is not a problem. There are much more expensive computer parts I have to pay for then a MB. Though if it is the $100ish more for the ASUS but doesn't have a that much of a performance difference I will stick with the MSI(which is what I currently plan on getting)

ASUS Z87-DELUXE, but i'd even take the Asus Maximus VI over the MSI Z87-G45 Gaming.

At 70 to 100 dollars more? I really don't see the benefits of paying 100 bucks more on a mobo thats already decent.

What can i say. I'm bias i guess.

I've only ever used Asus and gigbyte boards for the last 19 years or so. Of all the builds for self, family and friends (too many friends LOL). I only had one failure out of the box (it was an Asus board, if i remember correctly)
