Looking for my first SSD and trying to decide between these two. I really only need the 120GB as far as storage requirements but I see the read/write specs on the 240GB are faster. That said, I'm on a SATA II motherboard so with that in mind, will it matter if I get the 120GB or the 240GB as far as speed goes?

I plan to have a dual drive (SSD & HDD) system with this being used as the boot drive. I currently use 100GB of my 300GB HDD. If I take off my music, pictures, files, I would only be using 50GB for OS, programs, etc. so I'm thinking the 120GB SSD is plenty and the file will be put on the HDD. My question is, how much of the 120GB is actually available for use?

While I don't' think I need the 240GB, the price difference between the two is not that great so I'm trying to see all angles before deciding on one.

Thanks!

I realize the EVO is a better product but I want to confirm that on a SATA II MB, the EVO will perform better/faster than the N500? Will I notice the difference?

Edit: I'm not a hard user or a gamer. Just surfing, email and some applications.
