what about Nvidia Maxwell ?

Guys i want to know what are the latest news about nvidia Maxwell, i mean cards that are after the 750 and and 750 ti and the desktop ones not the Mobile ones

most of the people in the know are under NDO's so wont say anything.

imo, just going by the power improvements alone, i would say maxwell is looking good. although i was a little suprised at the performance.
i expected the 750ti to be very close to the 660ti and sorta keep up the way nvidia have been placing there next tier cards 1 step above the previous like the 670 being replaced by the 760.
but it looks like maxwell may be different.
it looks like its the direct replacement for the 650ti which means that power saving is likely the next step for nvidia, rather than gpu grunt.
so as they crank out higher end replacements they will have similar performance to there earlier counterparts but do it for a lot less power consumption...
this is a step they need to take because 300w+ is getting ridiculous at this point. power consumption has gone up quite a bit in the last 5 years and they really do need to start taking steps to curb it.

so at a guess. same or slightly improved performance for way less power consumption.

so you think that the 780ti equivalent could only be lets say 180 watts ? :p

hopefully, it may even be less. but i cant see it being lower than 150w.
