I'm building a new system, and need some recommendations for a graphics card. My heaviest usage is Photoshop and Lightroom, editing and retouching photographs. I use Illustrator sometimes as well.

The processor will be an i7-4770, probably 16BG of RAM, and a 27" monitor running at 2560x1440.

Budget is a consideration, and if possible I'd like to find something under $200. I've done plenty of googling and searching the forum, but most of the info I'm finding is more than a year old so I thought I'd post a new query.

Thank you for the link. I'll check it out.

I already have the monitor, it's a Monoprice model that uses the same LG screen as the Apple Cinema Display. Got it shipped to the door for under $400. (I think it's the older model, but it's still super sharp with excellent colors.)

As for a monitor that fits your requirements:

It's $650 but you did not specify a budget for the monitor.
