So I'm building a new gaming rig for my friend. He wants AMD for the price and I am not too familiar with AMD. He wants his new pc to be able to run BF4 at as close to max settings as he can get. Here is what we chose.

ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ Motherboard

AMD FD8320FRHKBOX FX-8320 Eight-Core 3.5GHz AM3+ Processor - AM3+,

MSI GeForce GTX 760 Video Card - 2GB GDDR5, PCI-Express 3.0 (x16),

PATRIOT Viper 3 Series Black Mamba 8GB Desktop Memory Module Kit - DDR3, 2 x 4GB

So those are the main components. He also has a Samsung ssd for his O.S. and all of the other components picked out. I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could help me out. Thanks in advance for the responses. Also if you guys need any more info just let me know.

Depends on resolution. Assuming that it is 1080P he can probably run it at max settings and get 40-60 FPS, averaging in the low 50's presumably. However, BF4 is still weirdly optimized, on some maps I am always over 70 FPS on ultra with my 770, on others I need to turn the settings down to low to get 50 FPS! I also have no issues with any other game, so it's very strange. But, if all goes well, yes, high settings for 60+ constant FPS, ultra for slightly sub 60. Assuming, of course, a resolution of 1080P.

I think yes. I run Battlefield 4 on Ultra and have a 650 graphics card (Please note : Its the standard Ultra settings, by that, i mean i just click on the preset settings and set for Ultra) and I run it perfectly and still have 50 FPS. From the look of that build, it looks perfect, and still has more than what is needed
