I'm noob with computers but I just got two GTX 260s (i know old but it was super cheap) for SLI. But I don't think my current power supply will be able to handle my computer. Pls tell me the recommended watts needed.

I currently have
Mainboard: MSI 970A-G46
Processor: AMD FX 8120 @ 3100
Memory: 16 GB (4x 4GB DDR3)
Hard Disk: Crucial SSD 120GB, Western Digital HDD 1 TB
Drives: 1x CD-DVD drive

My tower have 2 case fans and 1 cpu fan.

I checked the ASUS PSU calculator and it said I needed likee 800 Watts! Those supplies are super expensive (my budget is $50-90)
I need expertise advice. I'm going to buy the power supply tomorrow from Newegg. Please help! Thank you

What on earth calculator told you 800W?! Those cards use less than 200W each. a 650W would be plenty.

I used http://support.asus.com/powersupply.aspx
But i knew that calculator must be wrong so I asked you guys!
But if 650's good then I suppose i'll get those.
Thank you!
One more question
Is this power supply a reliable supply? I've heard people get wrong power supplies and it messed up their entire system or started fires.

I know Thermaltake sucks but I work right next to their RMA center so if I'm in need of RMA i can just take it and swap it easily =]] lol

for the wattage take the wattage of the cpu and the wattage of the two gpus.
125w

182w each.
125+400. 525w looking at 44 amps just for those parts. a 750w will do but your going to be running near the max output on the 12v line.

You'll need at least 650W with four 6-pin connectors.
