Hello,
I did my first build around a week ago, and everything has been going well. I opened my computer up to make sure everything was good, and I also moved some SATA cables around on the motherboard, but now when I try to turn it on absolutely nothing happens. No fans, no post. I can see the green LED on the motherboard, but other than that, nothing. The fact that everything was working for a week or so makes me think that a defective (or damaged) part is unlikely, although I'm sure that it's a very real possibility. Here's a part list.

Motherboard: ASUS m5a99x evo r2.0
CPU: AMD FX-6300
PSU: Seasonic s12ii 520
GPU: EVGA gtx 760

Solution
depending on how many RAM sticks you have, seat one at a time. If that doesn't work remove each component from the motherboard one at a time (graphics cards, cpu fans Optical drive and so on) and see if you can just get it to POST, if none of this works it sounds like it may be a motherboard or a PSU problem.

I reseated the RAM and cables, but still don't get anything. I haven't tried anything else so far, but I did notice that the green LED on the motherboard goes out when I try hitting the power button.

Well, I feel like a bit of an idiot right now. Due to the design of this PSU and the way I have it positioned, the "on" setting is when the switch on the back of it is what would normally be considered the "off" position. Every time I tried to test my PC, I would switch the PSU off, and then become worried by the ensuing silence... Thanks for your answer anyways, Raggamuffyn.
