Built my PC in 9/13 with Windows 7 Pro O/S on 120GB Kingston SSD with 1TB WD Caviar for everything else. System has run great until yesterday. While I was surfing the net, got a black screen with white lettering saying something about a memory dump. Tried to reboot, but system stops at "Starting Windows" screen. Tried physically disconnecting my SSD and reloading O/S on 1TB WD thinking that maybe the SSD had an issue. Tried to reload Windows 7 Pro from disc, but still get same result ("Windows is loading files" followed by "Starting Windows"). I run Symantec for virus and malware. Originally thought there might be a problem with the SSD, but now not so sure.

A friend suggested that I check my RAM sticks. I have 2 Corsair XMS3 4GB sticks. Removed one and system rebooted with no problem. Reinstalled and took out other stick. Problem came back. Put good stick in the slot the bad stick was in. It booted fine also. Looks like I got a bad stick!!!
