i5 4670k the best unless you have 500 dollars to blow then go with a x79 processor (4930k) but performance is the same unless sli/cfx 3 or more cards

depends on your budget, if you already have a mobo, if you plan on overclocking.....

i have $16200 and i would just use it for gaming, video, editing and some programming.

 
Like Bad_Kitty13 said, it depends on your budget and if you already have a motherboard. As a general rule of thumb, you want at least a quad-core processor running at 3Ghz. AMD tends to offer better value for money, but Intel offers stronger performance. If you have a motherboard in mind then we can suggest specific processors for you.

If you want to get into gaming, you also need to consider a good graphics card.

well since your going to be doing video editing and programming def go with the i7 4770k it has the gaming performance of the 4670k and is the best workhorse for the other tasks it would be the best cpu for you. and the sabertooth is an awesome board and good for oc
