which graphic card is better

Am really looking for category 1. But if i cant make my budget i would go for the second one. Plz suggest the best one in both the categories.

MOB: MSI Z87 G55
PSU: corsair TX 850M
Processor: intel core i5 4670k

Is there any better gpu in the same price range. I selected those with reference from www.gpuboss.com

the 280x is a tahiti gpu with 2048 stream cores, exactly the same amount as a 7970 or the 7970ghz edition. the 7950 has 1792 stream cores. the 280x is the best value for you in your country. the 280x and 770 are equal in performance. both are great cards. if the 280x costs the least, then that is the card to go for.

do you know the model number and brand of the 280x you are looking at?

The 280x is a rebranded 7970 GHz edition so it's faster than the 7950

I hope that GDDR3 is a typo, otherwise that'd most likely be a fake card

How much is the GTX 770 or 760 where you live? they'd be good alternatives, the 760 is on par with the 7950 whereas the 770 trades blows with the 280x

the 280x is faster than the 7950 so go with that.

all the 270x's you have are essentially the same thing, they will all roughly overclock to the same limit. some just have different coolers that are either quieter or perform better.

what country are you in? those prices seem off to me if you are in the united states.

the nvidia gtx760 is the best performance value here in the united states and is faster than the 270x and equal to or slightly faster than the 7950. the 280x is faster than the gtx760

Here in india the R9 280x and GTX760 cost the same. Only 10-20$ difference. Which makes the R9 280x a better choice. Right?

But the GTX770 would cost me extra 10,000Rs ( 170$) i dnt hav that kind of budget left with me. Which pressurises me to go for the R9 280X.

And are you sure that the R9 280X is a rebranded 7970GHz edition.. Coz the GHz edition still cost 170$ more than the R9 280X making it as pricy as the GTX 770. If R9 280X is faster than the 7950 then why are they charging an extra 30-40$ more for the 7950 than the 280X

I think the indian sellers are going nuts. :/

The 3 r9 280x in my contry...

The vapor x seems to have beter clock speed..
And the equally priced xfx dd version has 100Mhz less.. I have hrd that the xfx versions have gr8 cooling.. Is that true ??

And which version do u think is the best.. ??
