people im about to have a mental break down I need help.

I have a new motherboard (not the newest of the newest) with a 8 GB RAM 1600 MHZ
when i go into bios it says 1333mhz now i looked on the internet and found that i need to put the function for 1600MHZ on because it is 1600(OC)overclock so i did it and it was fixed... that was what i thought. I've had a little problem with COD GHOSTS so i went in the bios and G*****MIT it says 980 MHZ when i put it back to auto it says 1033. I always get a diffrent amount of MHZ i want the full potential of my 1600 MHZ

these are my specs.
ASRock 970 Extreme 3 R2.0
AMD PhenomII X6 1055T 2.8 GHZ
8GB GeIL 1600 MHZ DDR3
MSI AMD Radeon HD 6770 1GB

i hope somebody knows the solution my head is exploding now. maybe clock settings? but i dont know what I need to input.

no mate the best solution is to adjust the ram multi if your system is at stock the ram multi will likely be set to 8-10 or there abouts. just set it to 10-12 and you should be at exactly 1600.
bumping the cpu will only put you roughly at 1600 not exactly. and if you dont have good cooling you could well damage the cpu by overclocking.

jeah if found that but it only works if i put it on XMP and when i overclock my CPU with 30% the MHZ of my RAM goes down?

it was 2.8 ghz and with the xmp it goes back to 1600 MHZ GREAT
now i tried to overclock it manually and no problems at all it is now 3.6GHZ and 44c but my DRAM goes back to 540MHZ so better to let it at 2.8GHZ or change the clock ratio if found it and it says
10
10
10
28
33
what should i change then?
