"If you can" meaning if your mouse has drivers. Usually all mice install the drivers automatically once plugged into a computer. Sometimes it says driver install failed, or similar. Then you must install the drivers yourself (again, if there are any). At the moment i am using a $2 mouse which works perfectly for all my needs (yes, even [competitive] gaming). If that doesn't work, i suggest contacting customer support (if it has, eg corsair, thermaltake, etc.). If the mouse is not branded, or doesn't have customer support, i suggest you contact the retailer / e-tailer you bought it from and perhaps you can get it replaced. If all this fails, buy a new mouse.
