A year ago I built a new system consisting of a Sabertooth x79 MB amongst other bits, the graphics card was a Asus GTX 660.
Recently I decided to add another Asus GTX 660 and run them as SLI, I bought one from Amazon but it turned out to be a TI version.
I'm having a few problems installing it so and I had read in various places that they were not compatible (GTX 660 & GTX 660 TI)so I contacted Asus and received this reply,

Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.
My name is Carol and it is my pleasure to help you with your problem.

For the problem, they support with each other if they are the same brand.

If you have another problem, please get contact with us ASAP.
An email survey will be sent to you within the next 5 days. Please be sure to rate the service I provided to you today.
Have a good day! :)

From this I understood them to be in fact compatible,.
Some of my problems are as follows,

With both cards in there is no reference to SLI in the Nividia control box.
I seem to have problems in the PCI 1 slot
Each card works fine by itself in the PCI 2 slot ( I think)

Thoughts please.

You can either send back the card to amazon and maybe get a 660 instead or you can sell your 660 and just use the 660ti. With that money, you could opt to buy another 660ti.

Thanks for that but it doesn't tell me if they are compatible or not?
