(EDIT) For some reason the monitor started working again!

Hey guys,

I built my PC two week ago, along with a 24" Samsung Monitor. Now I made the stupid mistake of unplugging the plug from the socket while the monitor was on. When I put in the plug back in the socket the Display doesn't start up, there's not even any LED turning on, notifying me that the monitor is being supplied by power. I'm pretty sure that power isn't being supplied to the monitor and would like to know if there is any way to fix this. This is quite stupid as the PC is very new and I wouldn't want to spend my whole weekend finding a shop where they can repair it (there are hardly any shops where I live that would actually fix the monitor).

Thanks.

Solution
have you tried a different socket and if it has a powerbrick that has a universal detachable power plug that goes from the socket to the brick try i different one. ps3s use them and most laptops, there should be one around your home you can try the next thing would be the powerbrick its self and this is most likely the issue but try the other 2 things first because they are easy fixes
