Third Display Not Working

I have two R9 270x's crossfired, and three monitors connected to the main card.

Two are connected via HDMI, and one is DVI.

One of the HDMI is actually HDMI to DisplayPort. The monitor with the display port HDMI cable IS working as is the regular HDMI to HDMI, however the one connected via the DVI cable is not.

It will recognize that it's connected but has it "disconnected," and says it's "unable to save display settings." I've had these same monitors hooked up to a 7770 using a display port adapter and it worked, and like i said the monitor connected via the HDMI to DisplayPort (straight cable) IS working.

Not sure why the third monitor wouldn't be. I've restarted a few times, and nothing helps. I don't know if there's already a thread but I what I saw all referred to an active displayport adapter or cable but the monitor attached to that isn't having an issue.

Edit: Also wanted to mention the third monitor was working before I plugged in the monitor with the HDMI to DisplayPort cable, which is currently working.

Thank you.

An active display port link must be used to support three monitors.

It has to do with the voltage or signal, a Active adapter Needs an extra 5+ volts provided by the usb port of a computer. It needs it because of the circuit inside the link. to provide enough signal so the third monitor can sync. As the card its self cannot provide enough signal power to allow a sync of three screens connected on it`s own and ID ident to and from the monitor to the card.

That is how it gets its setup. The monitor relays its resolutions and what hz range to display each at.
Back to the 270x card where it sets a table up and saves it for each monitor connected.
