660ti Overheats allot?

I've had the 660 ti for just over a year now, And it runs fine when playing most games, but if I try to play anything like Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 3/4 and now Titanfall, It will overheat & crash, Even on the lowest settings with the fan really fast.

This has been happening the whole time i'v owned the PC, And when I complained about it being faulty the person who built my PC just replaced my RAM, But i'm starting to think it's a faulty GPU.

I've cleaned out the case of dust, Tried setting the fan on the highest setting and it still overheats, Do I need more/better fans or is my GPU faulty?

Specs:
CPU: i5 3570k 3.40 GHz.
GPU: Nvidia GTX 660ti
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Pro4
RAM: 2x 4gb ram

Thanks in advance for any help!

Ok then, your crashes are definitely coming from your cpu. Get a cheap aftermarket heatsink like cooler master's 212. It will solve your crashes. Then check your temps and try to RMA your card.

In the meantime, I would recommend not using your pc as not to cause any damage to your cpu. You will need to reapply thermal paste to your cpu.

It hits 95C before crashing.

Then something wrong with your GPU heatsink? do what RobCrezz advised!

Ok, I've just made a discovery.
Turns out my big fan inside the case isn't actually doing anything, It's just sitting idle while the 2 weak outside fans move.
So I feel that's the culptit, I just need to find out what's wrong with it.
It's a coolermaster fan.

The two fan at the top work, And using MSI Afterburner turns those fans up, I just assumed the other one was working, Which it obviously wasn't.
It may be a GPU problem though, I just can't think of what's causing it other than air flow or a faulty GPU.

Guess it's the warranty route, I'm definately not confident enough to be applying thermal paste.
Thanks.

I think the warranty route is the best choice. I only wish you would have done this sooner. The 660ti is an excellent GPU. I loved it. Excellent performance and no issues.

Yeah I wish I had done it sooner, Also just tried getting this CPU fan to work, Still can't get it to spin.
I imagine it's faulty too.

Ok, I would check the temps on your cpu, are you sure the 95C is on your gpu and not your cpu? I believe your crashes are coming from your cpu. You cannot have a cpu without a fan it will overheat and the bios shuts the computer down so as not to damage the cpu.

95'c isnt "insanely high" on a GPU. Thats normal operating temp for the new R9 290x ;). But its obviously too high for the 660 ti. But I suspect the issue is the CPU if thats running with no fan.

The 95 was from MSI Afterburner, So I'm pretty sure it's GPU.
Did a stress test on my CPU and found it was going into the 100's.
