I have a TP-Link TD-8961ND and I have a really weird problem
my ping time goes from 1ms to 1000 ms then to 1ms the image of the ping http://imgur.com/CI8SKEa

I tried the following
1- change the channel of the router and the access point to prevent overlapping (I made sure that there is no overlapping by "inSSIDer") the image with the traffic http://imgur.com/9smfPcS

2- reset the router and reconfigure it also the access point
3- updated the network driver on my laptop
4- made sure that the problem is not from the laptop (tried other 3 laptops with the same problem occur)
5- connected the laptop with cable the problem disappeared

I don't know what else to try really !
any help would be very appreciated

This is typically a hardware issue with the router. Plug a machine directly into your cable/dsl modem to make sure the issue is in the router and not the modem. If that fixes your problem then go get yourself a new router.

For future reference, TP-Link is short for "toilet paper-link" and should be avoided. ASUS makes some decent $30 routers, and if you have a bigger budget then they make some killer high-end devices.

I tried another 2 routers
1- 3com office connect >>> the same problem occurs
2- HUAWEI HG532N >>> the same problem also

that's the available here unfortunately .... I am in Egypt
They didn't even heard of an Asus routers !
but the same problem on 3 different routers I don't think its a router problem

Hmm... perhaps a wireless device in your area is spamming signal?
Turn off all wireless devices in your home (phones, consoles, smart TVs, PCs with wifi, etc), and turn on one at a time and test your connection until you find your troubblemaker.

Are there a lot of wireless networks in your area?

not much devices all I have is 3 laptops 1 mobile phone and that is it
and the ones that's transmitting is the router it self and an access point , and a wireless phone "siemens AL14H" that works on 1900 mhz , the router and access point works on 2400 mhz
I can see some of my neighbors signals but they are all weak less than 40%

I will try to turn off all of the devices and power on one by one and check what will happen

I did the step by step on and off for the devices and its the same issue
the space between the router and the access point is about 30 meters inside my home so i don't think it is the problem
what made a little bit of change at least I got rid of the timing out but still have the very high latency ping time
I made the access point on channel 10 and the router on channel 1 I got rid of the timing out but when trying to download anything the timing out starts again so I am stuck on browsing and that is it until i find out what is causing this issue

But just to confirm; If you plug in wired then your download issues go away? It is strictly limited to your wireless connectivity?

Have you contacted your ISP? They may have some network diagnostics they can run on their end to help track down the issue.

There is no problem at all when wired , downloading or browsing
Calling an ISP in Egypt is the most blood boiling experience that some could encounter I prefer a no internet at all option than calling the ISP
