I think hyperthreading may be causing some games to be stuttering a bit even when on the lowest setting but how do i turn it off? I googled it and looked on YouTube but I couldn't find a video that would just tell me without spending half the video talking **** about stuff that I just don't give a **** about

More about : disable hyperthreading core

Hyperthreading isn't going to cause stuttering. What graphics card do you have?

boot into bios, under advanced tweaker settings, you will see an option to disable it...stuttering can be caused due to faulty graphics drivers too...

It won't be caused by hyperthreading. In any game, hyperthreading actually makes a very positive difference on modern CPUs. Didn't do much for The P4s though. Also, like the others said, you have to go into the BIOS and disable it there. Not sure exactly how to do it on your specific motherboard though. Just navigate through everything and read everything carefully.

If you want to turn it off, go into your BIOS, look in Advanced CPU settings, and it should be labelled as 'Intel HT Technology' or something like that.

How much ram do you have? Check your system for any malware with malwarebytes. Make sure your drivers are up to date. Also, set you power settings to high performance. I suspect the last one is the most likely culprit. My laptop didn't want to play WoW correctly and my FPS went up quite a bit when I changed the power profile to high performance.

I have 8GB, my power setting right now is balanced but I'll try selecting High Performance see how that works
