Partions on HDD

So my hdd died and I know I have only my second hdd that has no portion just my games on, if I put it on another computer can I make a custom portion like 50gb then I can install windows on it ? Thanks !!
 
If your healthy hard drive drive has games on it, then it must already have at least one partition on it. If that partition fills the entire drive (ie there's no unallocated space on it) you can't create another partition on that drive.

However, if the existing partition does not fill the entire hard drive, you will be able to create another partition on it. I can't possibly say what size partition you can make, it depends on how much unallocated space there is.

There is about 150gb+, but will that be a whole portion because i only want about 30-40gb, so can i do that, but thanks!

will i be able to install windows then on that portion without deleting everything?
 


Yes. Follow the directions that I sent. You computer will recognize the partitions just like it would a completely separate hard drive, complete with it's own drive letter and all. If the first is unclear, here is a second set of instructions:
