Will this PSU be compatible with my current set up?

I am looking to upgrade my PSU. I have been recommended one by a friend but would like to know whether it is compatible, just to be safe ;)

These are my current specifications:
AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor
CPU speed - 3.6 GHz
8gb ram
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
AMD Radeon HD 6450 2gb

My motherboard is GIGABYTE 78LMT-USB 3

My current PSU is awful and was told previously that in order to upgrade my graphics card I would need a new PSU. PSU that I am looking to buy:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FG9FWF8/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers

I would also like to know if the PSU is compatible with this graphics card:

(Am hoping to buy this Graphics) :3

Thank you in advanced :) It is very much appreciated! :D

  1. This is the link to a very good PSU "checklist" to see if you have picked a suitable PSU for your system. Go through it and read what it has to say. You will learn a lot about PSU's. I could go on and on, but this article is far better than what someone will tell you on here. :)

This is a link to a good PSU calculator. It determines the correct amount of wattage you need.

  2. I also thought to send this. It is good material to read before you choose a PSU.

Edit: Sorry.....sent you the wrong thing. That link was for CPUs. LOL I fixed it, though

Excellent choices the rm650 is superb and it's compatible. If your budget allows you can go for this r9 270x by sapphire it's £143

  4. The RM650 is superb? I'd rather go for a XFX 650W in my opinion.
  5. The RM650 is a really good unit with almost platinum level of efficiency. Built by Channel Well, a respectable company, it's priced well didn't see a need to recommend the xfx 650 even if it is a seasonic unit.
