Can solid state hdd be used in vaio vpccb35fn

I imagine it would work.
I had no problem installing a ssd in my vaio.

Hybrid hard drives are only a bit better than the base drive. The amount of ssd cache is not usually sufficient to really help performance.
You would do better with a 7200rpm replacement.
If you want a real performance boost, use a ssd. A ssd is 50x faster than the fastest hard drive in random I/O. That is what the os does mostly.
I have replaced the hard drive with ssd in ALL my laptops. The performance boost is very satisfying.

since installing a new hard drive would involve opening up the hdd bay anyway, why not take a look now? this typically only involves removing 1-4 screws.

you'll want to look at the amount of room, the current hdd thickness if available, and also the interface it is plugged into to help determine compatibility.

considering the cost of the hybrid drive, and the minor performance increase compared to a non-hybrid ssd, you're better off either with another mechanical drive or a dedicated ssd. but that's just my opinion.
