Hi,
I wanted to buy a new laptop.
I saw 2 kinds of processor's and I don't know which one is better:
AMD A8-4500M (4 cores at 1,9 Ghz or 2,8 Ghz at turbo).
Or the
Intel i5-3337U (2 cores at 1,8 Ghz or turbo at 2,7 Ghz).
I think the AMD one is better but the it is also cheaper so I don't really know.

Lol. Processing wise, the Intel i5 is *much much* stronger even with 2 core deficit than the A8.
Graphic wise, gaming point of view, the A8 might be slightly ahead due to better integrated graphics, but that with a huge cpu performance deficit. I will take the i5.

Yeah, if you'll be doing normal computing like web browsing, emailing, etc. the i5 will be your best bet. Intel has much better single-thread performance, which most every-day tasks utilize. The i5 has hyperthreading too, so it will simulate having 4-cores, so it'll be much better than a regular dual core. The i5 will also run cooler and quieter.

I second what nexus recommended; Intel sounds the way to go.

Isn't the i5 better for gaming/testing the games?

The i5 will be better, period. The much better single core performance will help out with editing and programming.

If you're going to be testing your games on the same laptop, though, overall it's gonna be either or. The A8 will have much better graphics performance than the i5's integrated graphics. But it all depends how often/how in-depth your play-testing is going to be.
